invaluable for people who love camping and caravanning. For
less than the price of an overnight stay in a caravan park,

low cost, camping, picnic and rest areas, ranging from authorised
camping grounds with facilities, through to small secluded
sites in natural bush settings.

the guide to FREE-CAMPING
in the SOUTH of W.A. ...and your BEST FRIEND can come too!
10.110.0014 |
This book is written for all those
who, like us, enjoy the great Australian pastime of "camping
out".
The sequence of locations follows
a route from Norseman south to Esperance and then north to
Perth, either along the coast or inland.
The opportunity to go free-camping
in one's own country is, we believe, the birthright of every
Australian. It is only by making use of these areas and caring
for them that we can ensure this pastime will be available
for the next generation to enjoy.
One of the pleasures of free-camping
is being able to take your "best friend" on holidays
with you. If you have a dog or cat, or any other pet, you
will share in the frustration we always experience when we
see yet another part of our country made "out of bounds"
for the family who likes to holiday with their pets. Every
camping spot featured in this guide is open to pets. If
you are a family who takes their pet on holidays, please ensure
your pet is always well controlled.

the guide to FREE-CAMPING
in the NORTH of W.A. ...and your BEST FRIEND can come too!
10.110.0127 |
We travelled north along the coast
and came back south through the inland route, so if you are
travelling the same way you will find the guide very easy
to follow. If travelling north through the inland route, simply
work your way backwards through the guide. If you have come
across from the Northern Territory and are travelling south
from the top, refer to the composite maps to work your way
down to Perth.
From August through to November,
the wildflowers provide a variety of colourful scenery throughout
the north. The roadsides are decorated with yellows, reds
and pinks all the way north to the Pilbara, and there are
endless carpets of everlastings visible from Wubin, north
to Paynes Find and west to the coast. The wildflowers make
a springtime visit to the north of W.A. truly unforgettable.
If you can't make it in the spring, the warm temperatures
of autumn and winter days in the north have an appeal of their
own.
One of the pleasures of free-camping

with you. If you have a dog or cat, or any other pet, you
